October 20, 2026

MTC is seeking a physician who is interested in practicing medicine through a whole-person, systems-based and Cellular lens.

This physician will work directly with patients to understand not only what is happening, but also to investigate why it may be happening and what can be done to support healthier function.

The ideal candidate is a thoughtful clinician who combines strong conventional medical training with intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand emerging approaches to health optimization, metabolic health, longevity, and cellular function.

This is an opportunity for a physician who wants the time and environment to listen first, examine second, investigate third, and then develop a personalized plan based on the individual in front of them.

Medical Transformation Center is a physician-led cellular and regenerative medicine practice in Louisville, Kentucky, founded by Dr. Carl Paige and Terri Paige around a deceptively simple idea:

What happens when a physician has the time, information and freedom to look beyond the diagnosis and ask why dysfunction is occurring in the first place?

That question has shaped MTC for more than a decade.

Our patients are often not satisfied with simply being told that their laboratory results are “normal,” that their symptoms are part of aging, or that another prescription is the only available answer.

They want to understand their bodies.

They want to preserve their energy, cognition, strength, mobility and independence.

They want to extend not simply their lifespan, but their healthspan.

And they are looking for physicians willing to investigate alongside them.

What Is Cellular Medicine?

Cellular Medicine begins with a simple premise: the health of the whole body is ultimately dependent upon the health and function of its cells.

Every cell has a specialized role. Over time—or in response to genetic, environmental, nutritional, metabolic, hormonal, or other influences—cells may lose their ability to function as effectively as they should.

Cellular Medicine seeks to understand the factors that may be contributing to that dysfunction and identify ways to support healthier cellular function.

This can include evaluating how effectively cells obtain and use energy, how metabolic and hormonal signals influence function, how the immune system and gut interact with the rest of the body, and how lifestyle and nutrition affect these systems.

Our clinicians use a range of tools - including laboratory testing, conventional diagnostics, lifestyle and nutritional interventions, conventional and/or repurposed medications and, when appropriate, regenerative therapies such as peptides - to develop individualized strategies for supporting health and function.

The objective is not to chase symptoms.

The objective is to understand the individual, identify meaningful patterns, and use the tools available to support the body's ability to function well.

Responsibilities

Patient Evaluation & Clinical Care

  • Conduct comprehensive new-patient and follow-up evaluations.
  • Listen carefully to the patient's history, concerns, goals, and experiences.
  • Review lifestyle, environmental, genetic, metabolic, hormonal, immune, and gastrointestinal factors that may influence health.
  • Use appropriate conventional and advanced laboratory and diagnostic testing to investigate areas of concern.
  • Evaluate biomarkers and patterns rather than relying on isolated numbers or symptoms alone.
  • Develop personalized care plans based on the patient's individual physiology, needs, goals, and risk factors.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust recommendations as appropriate.
  • Communicate medical information clearly and help patients understand the why behind their care.

Cellular & Systems-Based Approach

  • Apply the principles of Cellular Medicine to patient evaluation and care.
  • Develop an understanding of the interconnected systems that influence cellular and whole-body function.
  • Incorporate appropriate lifestyle, nutrition, metabolic, hormonal, and other evidence-informed interventions.
  • Develop familiarity with emerging therapies and technologies relevant to cellular health, including peptide therapies and other regenerative or longevity-focused approaches.
  • Maintain a thoughtful distinction between promising emerging therapies and therapies supported by established clinical evidence.
  • Use appropriate conventional medicine alongside Cellular Medicine rather than treating the two approaches as mutually exclusive.

Collaboration & Continuity of Care

  • Work collaboratively with the MTC clinical team and other members of the patient's care team.
  • Recognize when conventional medical evaluation or specialist consultation is appropriate.
  • Refer patients to appropriate specialists when indicated.
  • Communicate and collaborate with outside healthcare providers when appropriate and with appropriate patient authorization.
  • Support the patient's continued relationship with their primary care provider.
  • Recognize the boundaries of the practice and ensure patients receive appropriate conventional medical care when needed.

Patient Education & Empowerment

  • Educate patients about the factors affecting their health and cellular function.
  • Translate complex medical and scientific information into understandable, practical guidance.
  • Help patients understand their laboratory findings and the relationship between different systems in the body.
  • Give patients the knowledge and tools needed to actively participate in their health.
  • Build long-term relationships based on trust, education, and partnership.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal physician will be:

  • A licensed physician with appropriate credentials to practice medicine in Kentucky.
  • Strongly grounded in conventional medical training and clinical reasoning.
  • Curious about the mechanisms underlying chronic disease and dysfunction.
  • Interested in metabolic health, longevity, regenerative medicine, lifestyle medicine, or related fields.
  • Comfortable evaluating complex patients and connecting information across multiple body systems.
  • Interested in laboratory medicine and interpreting patterns across multiple biomarkers.
  • Open to learning and incorporating emerging approaches while maintaining appropriate clinical judgment.
  • Committed to evidence-informed care and responsible medical practice.
  • An excellent listener and communicator.
  • Comfortable spending meaningful time with patients rather than operating in a high-volume, symptom-driven model.
  • Interested in building long-term relationships with patients.
  • Collaborative, intellectually curious, and willing to continue learning.

Physician must be willing to learn our Cellular Medicine framework and contribute their own clinical knowledge and perspective to its continued development.

MTC offers physicians an opportunity to practice medicine in a setting designed around time, investigation, personalization, and education.

Rather than seeing large numbers of patients for brief, symptom-focused visits, our model allows physicians to spend more time understanding the person behind the problem.
