Main Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Medical assistant experience a plus
- Greet patients professionally both in person and on the phone
- Manage the patient intake process including scheduling new and existing patient appointments, managing rescheduling, inquiries and waiting lists
- Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling and patient communication
- Ensure availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
- Verify patient information, financial records and process patient charges
- Articulate the Medical Transformation Process and the Cellular Medicine approach to new Patients and Inquiries
- Provide general and administrative support to patients, doctors, and support personnel
- Maintain accuracy, completeness and security of medical records and personal information
- Assist patients upon check-in and check-out
- Provide excellent customer service including responding to questions and providing directions.
- Register new patients according to established protocols
- Assist patients in the completion of all necessary forms and documentation
- Ensure patient information is accurate including payment/billing information
- Inform patients of office procedures and policies
- Maintain and manage patient records
- Transfer important calls and create messages for less urgent inquiries
- Call, document, and charge patients with missed appointments (no shows)
- Collect payment information and validate (if credit card) for processing
- Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
- Complete other administrative duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- College Education Preferred or Equivalent Experience
- Medical assistant experience a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis
- Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
- Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures
- Working knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred
